Committee Approves 5-Year School Accessibility Plan

The local public school board is one step closer to approving a new five-year accessibility plan.

The plan describes the measures that Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has taken in the past and the measures that will be taken during the 2021-2026 school years to identify, remove and prevent barriers for persons with disabilities who work in, use or attend school board facilities and services.

Brown’s family, who are in Brampton, had been calling for an inquest for years. On Oct. 27, the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General announced one would take place by video conference starting on Nov. 15, stretching over five days and hearing from approximately 13 witnesses.

London Transit Partners with MagnusCards to Make Conventional Bus Service More Accessible

Officials with the London Transit Commission have unveiled a new digital initiative aimed at making the city’s conventional transit system more accessible and easier to navigate.

The commission announced Thursday that it had partnered with the makers of MagnusCards to integrate information about the city’s transit system into the mobile app.
