SUMMARY

On February 14, 2022, the ARCH Disability Law Centre sent the Ford Government an excellent letter. It points out further reforms needed to Ontario’s process for renewing an expired Health Card, beyond allowing for online Health Card renewal using an Ontario Photo ID Card. We set that letter out below and heartily endorse it.

SUMMARY

What did it take to force the Ford Government to extend its February 28, 2022 deadline for renewing an expired Ontario health Card, and to enable people to use an Ontario Photo ID Card in lieu of a driver’s license to renew their Health Card online? It took a court application!
